Municipality Bela Crkva
The Municipality of Bela Crkva, located in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Serbia, is a local authority dedicated to sustainable development, environmental protection, and improving the quality of life of its citizens. Known as the “city of lakes and flowers,” Bela Crkva is recognized for its natural beauty, multicultural heritage, and strong tradition of hospitality.
The municipality plays an active role in supporting cultural life, tourism, and local economic development while taking care to preserve its natural resources and promote ecological awareness. As a partner in the Green Path RO–RS project, Bela Crkva brings valuable experience in local planning, environmental management, and cross-border cooperation. Excelsior Association
The Excelsior NGO was established 16 years ago, and the members involved in the NGO activities have a long and significant experience in the field of nature protection, sustainable use of natural resources and sustainable development of local communities. The NGO has a good experience in project implementation, in the field of nature protection, environmental studies and natural heritage promotion, also in transnational cooperation projects, relevant for the lead partner position. The Timis County Branch of the association, ExcelsiorTm, was established in 2018, with individual legal status and has the same goals as the main organization, many members acting in both organizations.
In recent years the association has implemented several important projects among which we mention:
- 1. “Development of a Cross-Border Protected Areas Resource Centre”, X-PARC, financed by Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013. The project envisaged to develop a structure capable to offer support to stakeholders involved in nature preservation and natural resources management. The project had two levels of development: setting up the infrastructure needed for the X-PARC Centre and soft activities envisaging to gather the information needed for the specific purpose of the centre: consultancy, support, promotion, dissemination, education. The project was implemented between 2012 – 2015, with a budget of nearly one million Euros.

2. "Adult education in the field of healthy life and sustainable living environment - Verba Docent", financed from the European Regional Development Fund, Interreg Romania-Hungary 2013-2020. The project was implemented between 2019 - 2022 and had a total budget of 2,987,502 Euro, from which 1,816,157 Euro for the lead partner - Excelsior Association. The objective of the project is to contribute to sustainable cross-border cooperation between the two partners, in order to increase the level of employment in Arad and Bekes county. Main results: developing and realizing the "Verba Docent" Adult Education Center Arad and Social Center Gyula, organizing and performing adult education courses and job fairs, developing and promoting a joint Romanian-Hungarian brand for local products of the Crisul Alb.
A relevant project implemented by Excelsior Association is “Elaboration of management plan for ROSPA0078 Mlastina Satchinez, ROSCI0115 Mlastina Satchinez and 2.740 Mlastinile Satchinez Natural Reservation”, financed by POIM 2013-2020. The implementation period 2017-2020. Allocated budget: 2315950 lei. Main results: assessment studies, conservation strategies, distribution charts, monitoring plans, 1 Management plan approved for the natural protected areas.

Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection, Vojvodina
The Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection, established in 2002, is responsible for ensuring sustainable development in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina through balanced urban planning, economic growth, and the conservation of natural resources. Its key areas of work include spatial and urban planning, protection and management of natural assets and biodiversity, monitoring of environmental quality, waste management, and the supervision and enforcement of environmental regulations.
With long-standing expertise in environmental initiatives, the Secretariat has implemented numerous ecological projects focused on the active management of natural heritage, expansion of protected areas, development of ecological networks, and the promotion of environmental awareness and education. It actively cooperates with local, national, and international organizations, strengthening the capacities of civil society and fostering cross-sector collaboration.
The Secretariat has significant experience in cross-border cooperation and international projects, successfully participating in EU-funded programmes such as the Hungary-Serbia IPA CBC Programme, EU Twinning projects, IPA EIONET-SRB, and the INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme. Notable projects include “Monitoring and Suppression of Ambrosia in AP Vojvodina,” “Support to Allergen-Free Environment (SAFE),” “Strengthening Administrative Capacities for Air Quality Management,” and “Preserving Sava River Basin Habitats through Transnational Management of Invasive Alien Species.”
Through these projects, the Secretariat has demonstrated strong professional expertise and project management capacities, including technical, administrative, and financial aspects, positioning itself as a reliable partner in both regional and international cooperation.

MyNature Association
The myNature Association is a Romanian non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of biodiversity and the natural environment. Since 2005, it has combined ecological expertise with digital innovation to develop tools and infrastructures that support the study and conservation of flora, fauna, and habitats.
Through its flagship initiative, the Nature Digital Object Repository (NDOR), myNature has built the most advanced biodiversity information system in Romania, hosting species observations, images, vernacular names, literature citations, habitat descriptions, and conservation status data. This resource is complemented by mybiOSis, an interactive online ecosystem that integrates research modules, monitoring tools, and virtual research environments (VREs), making biodiversity data accessible to both scientists and decision-makers.
myNature is actively involved in public outreach, publishing educational and scientific materials, organizing events, and supporting training in biodiversity and bioinformatics. It has also contributed to international initiatives such as the Pan-European Species directories Infrastructure (PESI), positioning itself as a national focal point for taxonomy and species data in Europe.
As a partner in the Green Path RO–RS project, myNature brings unique expertise in biodiversity informatics, ecological monitoring, and public engagement, ensuring that local knowledge and cutting-edge digital resources are combined to support nature conservation and cross-border cooperation.
