RORS00127: Green Path: cross-border dialogue for nature and communities

The Association for the Promotion of Natural and Cultural Values of Banat and Crișana "Excelsior" – Timiș Branch (Romania), together with its partners MyNature Association (Romania), the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection EKOVOJVODINA (Serbia) and the local administration of Bela Crkva (Serbia), organized the first workshop within the project "Cross-border cooperation network for the sustainable use of natural resources" (Green Path), co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Program.

The event took place on November 25, 2025, at the Neon Hotel in Timișoara, and brought together representatives of project partners, specialists, and members of the local community.

The workshop began with a presentation of the project and the protected natural areas in the implementation zone, followed by interactive working sessions. Participants were divided into three thematic groups—biodiversity, sustainable development of local communities, and improvement of green infrastructure—and proposed concrete measures that can be applied in the Satchinez Wetlands protected natural area.

The resulting ideas and proposals were presented in an open setting that encouraged dialogue and the exchange of opinions. The project leader and partners were actively involved in coordinating the teams, providing support throughout the activities.

The event received positive feedback and represented an important step in strengthening cross-border cooperation for the protection and sustainable use of natural heritage.
