As part of the project Cross-Border Cooperation Network for the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (RORS00127), funded under the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme, the MYNATURE Association organized a pilot action on 8 May 2026, involving academic staff and students from the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timișoara, within the Environmental Medicine and Ecology discipline.

The event was carried out under Activity A2.2: Creating a joint on-line database for air pollution monitoring, including citizen science data management, which contributes to the development of a Joint strategy and action plan for pollution management, nature and biodiversity protection, landscape management and the sustainable use of natural resources, currently being prepared together with project partners from Romania and Serbia.

Through a citizen science approach, 30 students and teaching staff received portable Atmo Tube Pro 2 devices equipped with sensors for measuring air quality parameters, including CO₂, Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and fine particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, and PM10). These devices are intended not only for specialists but also for anyone interested in monitoring the quality of the air they breathe, both outdoors and indoors, in homes, offices, educational institutions, and other environments.

Through the mybiOSis platform, the data collected by volunteers using these sensors are aggregated and displayed on an interactive map available on the project's dedicated website (https://kladia.info/RORS/sensors.php), ensuring that the results are openly accessible to the public.
